A story about different realities and equality.
The topic of women in the bar and spirits industry is a huge and deeply personal priority for Anne Linden. She is convinced that this issue urgently needs far more visibility and an open, honest dialogue about the systemic challenges women face—especially sexism, sexualized violence, and the male-dominated realities that still shape the industry today.
At BCB 2023, Anne joined a powerful panel discussion alongside Maren Meyer, Chloé Merz, and Adelina Schefferski, hosted by the German Bartenders Union (DBU). Together, they tackled the pressing realities women confront in bars and spirits, shared their experiences, and discussed what true equality can and must look like moving forward.
Anne is committed to using her voice and platform to shine a light on these issues and to push for real change—because only through visibility, solidarity, and clear conversations can the industry become a safer, more inclusive space for everyone.
